Abstract\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tDetails are presented for the formulation, fabrication, and mechanical characterization of mesoscopic freestanding polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomer membranes, 10.0 μm thick and 5.0 mm in diameter, used to probe the rheology of a living epithelial sheet. In what is described as a composite diaphragm inflation (CDI) experiment, freestanding PDMS membranes are utilized as substrates for the culture of a sheet of epithelial cells.

Abstract\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tThe syntheses of siloxane-grafted poly(amide-imide) and polyamide were carried out by a macromonomer method, in order to develop a highly permeable and durable membrane material for pervaporation. A novel compound, 3,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzyloxypropyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (\n\t\t\t\t\t\tBAPB-\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPDMS), was synthesized as a macromonomer.

Fabrication and characterization of a flow-through PCR device with integrated chromium resistive heaters

Abstract\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tA flow-through PCR device with integrated chromium resistive heaters was developed. The PCR device was composed of a polydimethylsiloxane flow channel chip fabricated using soft lithography and a glass heating chip produced by standard photolithography. PDMS bonding layers were used to assemble the device instead of oxygen plasma treatment. The formation of air bubbles within the device was suppressed by treating the flow channel with 20% (v/v) Tween 20.

We propose glass and PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) chips for DNA amplification with continuous-flow PCR (polymerase chain reaction). The PDMS microchannel was fabricated using a negative molding method for sample injection. Three heaters and sensors of ITO (indium-tin-oxide) thin films were fabricated on glass chip. ITO heaters and sensors were calibrated accurately for the temperature control of the liquid flow. ITO heater generated stable heat versus applied power. ITO sensor resistance was changed linearly versus temperature increase as a RTD (resistance temperature detector) sensor.

Polystyrene-graft-polydimethylsiloxane (PS-g-PDMS) copolymers with different PDMS content were syn-thesized by the radical bulk copolymerization of PDMS macromonomer and styrene. The copolymers were charac-terized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR),1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and the mechanical properties of the copolymers were also carried out.

无线数据传输系统组网的可穿戴电阻应变传感器无线通讯;银纳米线;聚二甲基硅氧烷;应变传感器;蓝牙。本研究通过在聚二甲基硅氧烷( PDMS )衬底上嵌入银纳米线,制备了透明的电阻应变传感器,实现了手指弯曲运动的电传感。利用蓝牙作为无线数据传输系统,将应变数据传送给计算机和智能手机应用程序,实现近场通信。此外,我们还编写了一个通过手指运动应变来改变电阻的程序来保存图像,并证实了它在应用程序和计算机中的作用。

纳米复合材料微结构的毛细管效应制备毛细管效应;微纳多级结构;对准;多壁碳纳米管;聚二甲基硅氧烷;提出了一种新的、简便的合成干胶用微纳多级结构的制备方法,并利用毛细管效应对纳米材料在微结构中的对准特性进行了可行性测试。根据多壁碳纳米管( MWCNTs )和聚二甲基硅氧烷( PDMS )混合物的固化程度和黏度选择制备条件的候选人,并对制备条件进行测量。分析了MWCNT - PDMS微结构横截面的扫描电镜图像。当制备温度和制备起始固化度较低时,MWCNTs在微结构中的排列较好,但MWCNTs的面密度受制备条件的影响较小。

By changing the surface property of the target substrate through $UV/O_3$ treatment, we can transfer the graphene on the target substrate while minimizing mechanical damages of graphene layer.
