Fabrication of a Three-Layer PDMS Pneumatic Microfluidic Chip for Micro Liquid Sample Operation

The emphasis of this paper lies in the fabrication of a three-layer polydimethylsiloxane chip for micro liquid sample operation. In this paper, the microchannels with a rectangular control layer cross section are fabricated based on a dry-film negative photoresist mold, while the microchannels with a rounded liquid layer cross section are fabricated by a positive photoresist reflow mold. The relationships between temperature and the time of reflow and the arc level of the liquid layer mold are discussed.

本文提出了一种用于X和Ku波段应用的光学透明、柔性微波吸收器。该吸收剂采用光学透明的ITO涂复PET薄膜来产生欧姆损耗,聚二甲基硅氧烷作为介质基板来实现光学透明和柔性。该结构的新颖之处在于其光学透明性和灵活性,与以往报道的吸收体相比,吸收带宽和最小厚度都有所增加。该吸收剂在8.00 ~ 20.70 GHz的频率范围内具有吸收率( 90 %以上)。吸收体的厚度为0.196λg (其中λg对应于介电常数εr的导波波长)。提出了一种与全波模型吻合较好的等效电路模型。

Abstract(#br)In this paper, we prepare a novel photochromic hydrophobic cotton fabric with high sensitivity after irradiated by ultraviolet light, excellent fatigue resistance, and good hydrophobic properties. Additionally, it can quickly return to the primary color under conditions of green light, heat or dark, respectively. The target photochromic spiropyrane compound was firstly synthesized and prepared into microcapsules as core and chitosan as shell to improve the fatigue resistance.

Abstract(#br)Bio-ethanol, clean and renewable, has proved to be a promising alternative energy resource to replace conventional fossil fuels. In its continuous production via the fermentation–pervaporation process, hydrophobic polymer membranes such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) have been developed to enrich ethanol from dilute fermentation broth. However, the efficiency of current ethanol recovery via pervaporation is not high enough for large-scale bioethanol production.

Here we build such a model on the basis of measured viscosity of polydimethylosiloxane (PDMS) in ethyl acetate in a wide range of polymer concentrations: from dilute up to highly concentrated solutions.

Abstract(#br)Zeta potential of PDMS-liquid interface is an important parameter for generating electroosmotic flow in a PDMS microchannel. In this paper, the zeta potentials of a PDMS slab in contacting with electrolyte solutions were evaluated with an atomic force microscope (AFM). As a colloidal probe of the AFM approaches to the surface of a PDMS slab in an electrolyte solution, a force curve is obtained and used to calculate the zeta potential of the PDMS.

Abstract(#br)Environmental fate, behavior and effects of hazardous organic compounds have recently received great attention in diverse environmental phases, including water, atmosphere, soil and sediment. Considering polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fibers were validated for the wide application in the determination of partition behavior in passive sampling, in this work, several in silico models were established to predict PDMS-water ( K PDMS-w ), PDMS-air ( K PDMS-a ) and PDMS-seawater partition coefficients ( K PDMS-sw ) of diverse chemicals.
