Abstract(#br)Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications due to its mechanical and rheological properties in a range similar to the living tissues. In this study, we demonstrate that PDMS can be used to produce deformable microparticles to be integrated in the development of particulate blood analogue fluids. The difficulties associated with the use of in vitro blood make it necessary to perform in vitro experiments of blood flow with blood analogue fluids.

A simple emulsification technique for the production of micro-sized flexible powder of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)

摘要\n采用简单的批量生产乳化技术制备PDMS柔性微粒粉末,采用二环法在注射器之间插入膜/过滤器,可增加液滴收集的单分散性,粒径为几微米。采用这种手工技术制备了PDMS-水乳液。乳状液中的PDMS液滴被热固化成球形固体微粒而不发生收缩。对颗粒尺寸分布的分析表明,颗粒的单分散性是可以接受的。采用火形圆柱形玻璃微喷嘴来评估我们柔性颗粒的变形能力,作为PDMS前驱体所用固化剂用量(混合比)的函数。将结果与来自市场的刚性微粒进行比较。这些柔性PDMS颗粒在生物微流控领域有着巨大的应用兴趣,特别是对于血液颗粒模拟流体的生产。
