Abstract(#br)Sorption behaviors were investigated for ethanol/water mixtures in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films at 298\u003cce:hsp sp=\"0.25\"/\u003eK in this study. The classic UNIversal QUAsi Chemical (UNIQUAC) model and UNIQUAC-HB theory (the UNIQUAC model accounting for the hydrogen bonding effect) were employed to predict the individual sorption levels from various ethanol/water mixtures.

Abstract(#br)The adhesion of bacteria and subsequent formation of biofilm on the surface of implants greatly affect the long-term use of the implants. The low molar mass gentamicin (GS) cations could hardly be directly incorporated into the multilayer films through alternately deposition with a polyanion. Herein, we have designed and constructed a (poly(acrylic acid)/(polyvinylpyrrolidone/chitosan)) n ((PAA/(PVP/CHI)) n ) multilayer films through layer-by-layer self-assembly method.

However, the strategy generally promotes water permeation as well, which is contrary to the separation purpose but has not caused researchers' attention.
