Factors affecting the consistency of water vapour permeation through silicone polymeric tubes

Abstract(#br)The permeation tubes were fabricated using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and their permeation behaviour of water vapour was investigated under different experimental conditions. Experimental results showed that the permeation rate through PDMS wall was largely dependent on tube material and temperature. Permeation rate of water through PDMS shows approximately 100 times higher than that of tetrafluoroethylene–hexafluoropropylene copolymer. High concentration of standard water vapour can be made due to their superior permeation rate.

本工作描述了一个用来表征阻挡膜对传质有效扩散系数的装置。由弹性体聚二甲基硅氧烷( PDMS )基体制备出具有可控和良好势垒微结构的膜。物质输运的物理障碍是通过在具有明确形状和特定位置的基体微孔中雕刻产生的。横向拉曼光谱是用来跟踪渗透分子十六醇( HDOL )在雕刻基体中的质量输运。通过对HDOL拉曼强度随时间变化的监测,研究了圆孔和拉长孔通过势垒微结构后对质量输运的影响。将结果与计算机模拟的质量输运进行了比较,发现了很好的一致性。结果表明,空穴对HDOL起二维阻挡作用,HDOL在阻挡膜中的有效扩散系数相对于均质材料降低。总体而言,拉曼测量为对比异质势垒膜的传质理论模型提供了有价值的数据生成基础。
